Hear the UNC Clef Hangers Live!
The UNC Clef Hangers are Carolina's oldest a cappella group. Since being founded in 1977, the Clefs have become a staple of Tar Heel tradition, known for their classic LDOC Old Well Sings, and singing the classic James Taylor tune "Carolina in my Mind" every year at commencement.
The Clef Hangers perform two traditional concerts every year (Fall and Spring) to sold-out crowds in Memorial Hall in Chapel Hill, as well as numerous private gigs throughout the year. Over the last few years, a couple of notable performances were singing for former President Barack Obama in The White House and performing at famed UNC basketball coach Dean Smith's funeral.
Every other year the Clefs release a studio album featuring some of the top songs from their sets of the last few semesters. Their last EP, "Lost Files" was released in 2023 and is available to stream on Spotify and Apple Music.
